The historic Savannah waterfront district is home to our main tourist area. The Historic District runs from River Street to Gwinnett Street on the south end, and from MLK Jr Blvd to East Broad Street. With fabulous views of the Talmadge Bridge, which leads to South Carolina and Bluffton/Hilton Head, the Savannah River, and the 200+ year old buildings, the downtown Savannah waterfront area is truly breathtaking.
If you head out toward the ocean you will pass through a string of islands. Whitemarsh Island, Wilmington Island, Talahi, and others have marsh views and river views, many homes with deepwater access.
Tybee Island is oceanfront with beaches, stunning ocean and bay views, dolphin sightings, and everything that living by the ocean has to offer.
Savannah is truly a wonderful location if you want to be on the water, whether that means the ocean, rivers, marches, or ponds/lagoons. Richmond Hill is also in Chatham county and features many waterfront areas as well, and is a suburb of Savannah.
