Today we are talking about Palm Coast Florida hotels and we are starting right now

Hey everyone, welcome back to my blog. I’m Karin Carr, a Realtor in Savannah, Georgia and I’m here to tell you about my most recent road trip.

My husband and I just celebrated our 15-year anniversary. Yes, he’s crying – so cute! – And we decided to road trip somewhere in Florida. We were lucky enough to get Grandma and Grandpa to watch our kids for a few days – thank you! –  And we wanted to go somewhere where we could road trip that wasn’t too far away, we didn’t have to fly anywhere. That way… you know, if, heaven forbid, anything went wrong back home with the kids we could just jump in the car and be home in a few hours. So we decided on Palm Coast, Florida.

Palm Coast is only about a three-hour drive from Savannah so it’s a really easy simple drive straight down i-95. And after much research, we decided on the Hammock Beach Resort. The hotel was awesome! I can tell that they had a little bit of damage probably from one of the more recent storms. Maybe it was even Hurricane Irma last fall. They did have a blue tarp in a couple of spots up on the roof and it looks like they were trying to get those tiles replaced, but overall the resort itself was fantastic. It has… I think six pools. There’s an adult pool, a kid pool, a wave pool, a pool with slides, a pool with sand, and you walk in, there’s one that’s a hot tub but it’s the size of a pool.

It’s gigantic and you can probably put 150 people in it. So they’ve got all these pools with a poolside bar and restaurant. You can lounge around the pool and the waiters will come over and say, “Can I bring you a drink? Can I bring you a snack?” And you’re like, “Why yes, yes you can!”  They also have a spa and a golf course on-site, and then the beach is ten feet in front of this hotel. When we went they were running some pretty killer specials! So I highly encourage you if you’re looking for a place to go on vacation and you live in Savannah, and you don’t want to go… you know, airfare is so expensive now. Maybe you just don’t want to deal with airfare especially if you’ve got a family of four – it gets expensive really quick. So maybe you just want to go somewhere where you can road trip but you’re not into doing the whole Disney thing.

Well, Palm Coast was great! Palm Coast is roughly halfway between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach, so we were able to go see both places. I’d never been to Daytona Beach before. We went, and we checked it out… really there’s not a lot to see there. Sorry, Daytona Beach. But now I can say that I’ve been. Saint Augustine is really cool. It’s very historic, there are tons of little restaurants and shops and it’s very scenic to walk around, so we sure liked St. Augustine a lot. And then we were able to stop in a couple of places on the way down and on the way back. Some seafood restaurants in the Brunswick area or in Darien and that was fun. Because they’re just far enough away that we don’t ever go living in Savannah, but since it’s right along the drive it’s the perfect opportunity to stop.

So that is my review of the Palm Coast Hotel, the Hammock Beach Resort. If you are interested in taking a road trip I highly encourage it. Not far away, not super expensive, very glamorous, and a way to have a very luxurious vacation experience. Thank you so much!
