In today’s video, we are going to discuss how to get your offer ACCEPTED in today’s crazy market. With it being a seller’s market and low inventory we want you to be prepared! See the five items below we are going to cover: #1: Purchase Price: This is not the market to lowball offers, especially if the home is listed at market value. Your agent will be able to help you determine if the home is priced well. #2: Earnest Money: This is your good faith deposit that is made with your offer. This can be applied to the closing costs at the end. The higher your earnest money, the more skin in the game you create for your offer. #3: Closing Costs: If you are able to cover the majority OR all of the closing costs, this could be a huge offer strategy! #4: Closing Date: Now is NOT the time to ask for a long closing date. 30-45 days is typical here in our market. #5: Contingency Upon the Sale of Your Home: A lot of buyers are relocating and need to sell their homes in order to purchase a new one. In a multiple offer situation, a seller is less likely to go with a buyer who has more contingencies, including the sale of your home.
